Post-Christmas Invitation Pack

The national #followthestar campaign has successfully supported pre-Christmas and Christmas Day services across the country, which are some of the most well-attended in the church calendar. For some families, it may be the only time they visit their local church in the year.

These brand new resources are being trialled so churches can invite families to come back ‘Beyond the stable’ on or near 5th January (Epiphany) and to ‘Share the Light’ on or near 2nd February (Candlemas). This pack contains everything you’ll need to reach families, make them aware of your Epiphany and Candlemas dates and to encourage them to join in with prayer.

NB: These packs are currently on trial and only available to parishes taking part in the pilot. After using these resources, your feedback is vital, and you’ll be contacted after Candlemas to provide this. If you run out of resources, you can order more individual items – but only this trial pack can be purchased with the code you have been supplied with.

Pack contents (nine resource items):

• 100 each of the ‘Beyond the Stable’ and ‘Share the Light’ flyers to hand out at Christmas services, with information about both dates. Customise with your service details before you order.

• ‘Beyond the Stable’ items to advertise Epiphany

  • Three A4 posters – customise with your service details before you order
  • 100 Bookmarks – give these out at Christmas services to invite families back after Christmas. Customised with your 5th January (Epiphany) service details when you order.
  • 10 Fridge Magnets with a simple prayer to use at home. To give to families at the service.
  • 30 Prayer Stickers (on 3 sheets of 10 stickers) to give out to people at the service. They include a prayer – and will especially appeal to children.

• ‘Share the Light’ items to advertise Candlemas

  • Three A4 posters – can be customised with your service details before you order
  • 100 Bookmarks – give these out at ‘Beyond the Stable’ services on 5th January (Epiphany) to invite people back again. Customise with your service details before you order.
  • 10 Candle Mats. A simple card to take home, including a prayer for families to say together when they light a candle. (Candles not included.)
  • 30 Prayer Stickers (on 3 sheets of 10 stickers) to give out to people at the service. They include a prayer – and will especially appeal to children.
